"Special drink of mine!" Everyone has problems at times. The main thing is to understand their cause.
Because otherwise the future will not change. And drugs don?t solve any problems.

"Stuck in front of the telly again!" Everyone has bad feelings at times. The main thing is not to let them get you down.
Because this only increases frustration. And frustration brings nothing - except more frustration.
Citizens' initiative of the Lohne Prevention Council (LPC)
with the 4 working groups of Violence Prevention, Prevention by Integration, Addiction Prevention and Technical Prevention
If Lohne is such a great place to live, some residents and visitors from other towns, who want to get to know the work of the LPC, inevitably ask themselves: "Does Lohne really need a Prevention Council?" Do you have particularly serious problems in Lohne with violence, criminality, addiction and ...". These questions are answered by the Chairman of the LPC and Mayor Hans Georg Niesel:
"We don't have any more problems in Lohne than elsewhere, but we deal with the problems. What use are the best jobs if the residents of Lohne do not feel safe and secure".
The LPC was founded in 1997, although not by reason of any spectacular event such as a serious crime. It was established with the intention of preventing injustice and adverse developments, so that all - young and old - could continue to feel at home in Lohne, and not suffer from anti-social conditions. The aim was to "prevent American conditions, before it is too late" († Dr. E. Supe, Vechta College). Over 120 residents in Lohne now work on the LPC in an honorary capacity, in order to reduce and if possible prevent the negative causes of addiction, violence, fear etc. The Lohne Prevention Council (LPC) bases its projects on addiction and violence prevention of the following accepted scientific principles:
- Strengthening of the personality - the earlier the better
- Strengthening of self-awareness
- Strengthening the educational skills of parents and teachers
The Prevention Council pursues its objectives in the form of several age-specific projects, and every year reaches over 1,000 children, their parents and teachers. One of these ongoing projects is called "Natürlich bin ich stark" (I am naturally strong) and begins every school year in the 5th class of all Lohne schools.
Current activities include the following:
- "Social training" and "Learning workshop" in classes 5 and 6
- Interactive play "Natürlich bin ich stark" in the 7th class of all schools
- Performance of the play for parents and teachers
- Content supervision of the play
- In-depth workshops after 3 months for the individual 7th classes
- "I take responsibility for myself and others
- "Parents' evening in class 7 "Starter drugs and young people's protection act"
- Ongoing further teacher training: "Lions Quest personality strengthening for pupils of classes 5-10"
- The theme of "Values" in 8th classes (education plan) on religion / biology in combination with a discussion with dependently-addicted young people (D.-B. Clinic Ahlhorn)
- Parents' evening in class 8 also with patients of the D.-B. Clinic Ahlhorn
- Public relations work
- Continual further development of the concept
