Biochem is investing in an expansion of its production facilities for high-quality feed additives at the company's site in Lohne (Oldenburg). The ground-breaking ceremony on July 7, 2020 marked the start of construction on the 4,500 square meter production and logistics facility located at Brägeler Forst 13. Scheduled for completion in 2022, the new project will include 60 new office workstations.

Biochem is expanding production and logistics capacities at its Lohne (Oldenburg) site to provide space for the company's continued growth. The 4,500 square-meter new building project on the Biochem site located at Brägeler Forst 13 was launched on July 7, 2020, and is scheduled for completion in the second half of 2022.

The expansion of the site will significantly increase the company's production capacity for liquid feed additives to meet the growing global demand for sustainable animal feed. The heart of the modern liquid production facility is a 1,000 cubic-meter tank storage unit and an energy-efficient, fully automated filling system. According to Biochem owner and CEO Eckhard Thölke: "We are focusing on flexibility with a filling line for containers in sizes ranging from 500 ml to 25,000 liters. This will enable us to further improve our customer support."

In addition to the new production facility, a modern, climate-controlled high-bay warehouse with 2,000 pallet spaces and storage for outgoing products will be built. As production increases, this will ensure a fast and efficient supply to more than 60 markets.

"Safe animal nutrition (Feed Safety for Food Safety®) is a key priority at Biochem. That's why we will continue to focus on the highest quality standards and good manufacturing practices (GMP+) at our new facility," Thölke explains.

As a result of the company's continuing growth and geographic expansion, the Brinkstrasse and Küstermeyerstrasse sites no longer provide sufficient office space. Therefore, the new building project at the Brägeler Forst 13 site will include 60 additional office workstations.
