Product Benefits.

Modes of Action.

Our effective range of feed additives and dietary feed supplements are specifically selected and developed to support animal health and productivity.

Pathogen Inhibition

Organic acids inhibit and prevent the growth and reproduction of pathogens. These acids are lipophilic, which enables them to enter the cell membrane of pathogens and thus damage the cell from within.

pH Reduction

Depending on the buffering capacity of the feed or drinking water, the use of organic acids reduces the pH value. This improves the hygienic properties of the feed and drinking water.

Application Method.

Product Description.

Water quality is fundamental in maintaining animal health and productivity. Clostridia, Salmonellae, E. coli, and other pathogenic bacteria are among the most frequent causes of reduced productivity, illness, and loss in animal production. Contaminated water can be a source of infection and decreased water intake.

B.I.O. Acid Liquid is an effective blend of acidifiers, specifically formulated to address water hygiene and control bacterial load in the water supply. B.I.O. Acid Liquid works through its buffered organic acids, including formic, propionic, and lactic acids. These acids all help to improve the sanitation of water.

These acids are most effective at a low pH, which allows an uncharged, non-dissociated form of the acid to easily enter a bacterial cell. Once inside, the acid molecules dissociate, releasing protons and organic acid anions that inhibit gram-negative bacterial replication. B.I.O. Acid Liquid does not affect beneficial gram-positive bacteria, like lactobacilli.

The strength of B.I.O.Acid Liquid lies in its various acids. Lactic acid lowers the pH in the intestine, has antibacterial effects in the stomach and small intestine, and has a positive effect on intestinal villi. Formic acid and ammonium formate have strong bactericidal and bacteriostatic effects and improve protein digestion.

Propionic acid and ammonium propionate have strong antifungal and anti-yeast properties. They have a strong preservative effect. Acetic acid aids in pH reduction and citric acid provides strong pH reduction and flavor enhancement.

The effective blend of buffered organic acids contained in B.I.O. Acid Liquid ensures clean and healthy water for your livestock, which helps promote their well-being and productivity. Don’t compromise the health of your animals—use B.I.O. Acid Liquid for a cleaner, safer, and more efficient livestock operation.

BetaTrace®: Securing the Future of Dairy Performance with Rumen Bypass Betaine.

Standard betaine is often lost to rumen degradation, limiting its ability to support transition cows when they need it most. BetaTrace® overcomes this challenge by complexing betaine with organic trace minerals, allowing it to bypass the rumen and effectively support liver health and metabolism. Discover how this dual-action additive increases methionine availability and boosts lactation performance while delivering essential minerals.
