Nutrient Release

Some nutrients in feed are unavailable for use by the animal. Enzymes work by releasing these valuable nutrients and improving the nutritional value of feed, especially those from plant sources.

Feed raw materials often contain antinutritive substances. Eliminating antinutrients increase the effectiveness of the animal´s own digestive enzymes.

Application Method.

Product Description.

Axtra® XB G is an enzyme combination for pigs and poultry designed to reduce the negative effects of certain non-starch polysaccharides found in mixed grain diets. Axtra® XB G supports the release of valuable nutrients from animal feed, improves digestibility, nutrient utilization, and improves litter quality and fecal consistency.

Non-starch polysaccharides—such as arabinoxylans and β-glucans—are major components of plant cell walls and are abundant in plant-based feed ingredients. However, because of the lack of enzymes in monogastric animals, arabinoxylans and β-glucans are not used and remain in the gut with varying degrees of physiological effects.

Both arabinoxylans and β-glucans bind with water in the intestines, resulting in the formation of gels that increase the viscosity of the intestinal contents. The increase in viscosity of the intestinal contents associated with increased gel formation negatively affects digestion and nutrient absorption.

Axtra® XB G overcomes the anti-nutrient effects of arabinoxylan and β-glucan and promotes a consistent improvement in digestibility. The improved digestibility provided by Axtra® XB G results in better feed conversion and weight gain, which improves animal performance and increases profitability.

Axtra® XB G allows for flexible inclusion rates according to feed ingredients and specific feed formulation for maximum value. Axtra® XB G can be combined with Axtra® PHY GOLD phytase for even better feed performance and cost savings.

Axtra® XB G allows variability in ration design and raw ingredient selection. Axtra® XB G is ideal for mash feed or for lower temperature pelleting up to 80°C. Axtra® XB G—for reliability and performance for mixed grain diets.
